Theme

For this deck I wanted Aragorn and Glorfindel to lead Frodo Baggins back to Rivendell just like in the books. I also didn't want to use Bond of Friendship again. (MotK) Pippin worked well for the super low threat with secrecy.

Storyline Heroes: Sam Gamgee, Merry, Pippin, Aragorn, Glorfindel, Elrond, Gandalf

Close Heroes (+1 threat): Arwen, Bilbo Baggins, Eladan, Elohir, Erestor

Theme for this deck: Secrecy & Threat Control.

  • Mix of Dunedain. and Noldor. as we are in the wild and entering Rivendell.

Strategy

Mulligan for Light of Valinor

Keep your threat low and try to get into secrecy soon, as it will help with playing cards.

Glorfindel kills with 2x Dagger of Westernesse when Aragorn blocks with boosts from Arwen Undómiel, Gondorian Shield, and Steward of Gondor.

Thematically I wanted the Dunedain. to backup Aragorn for this one, and they did a good job. The low threat helps you manage the enemies without too many problems.

(MotK) Pippin is crazy good for 4 threat. In this deck he typically quests for 2 and then can attack for 2

Spare Pipe or Hobbit Pipe might be worth including if you already have Bilbo Baggins. A Lesson in Caution would be great if you don't mind fan cards. Also, a copy Resourceful is probably worthwhile. Ranger Summons would also be fun.

@NERD all good suggestions.

I might have play around with some of those in another playthrough. Definitely could one copy a Spare Pipe or Hobbit Pipe.

I forgot about A Lesson in Caution and Ranger Summons both very thematic too!
